Parts of the latest trailer for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets look like an action packed single person adventure video game. The way the camera tracks Valerian from behind as he crashes through walls and uses some kind of tech to create force-field stepping stones is something that’s more akin to a Tomb Raider style game than a movie. But then Luc Besson has a habit of treading new ground.
Based on the ground-breaking graphic novel comes a vision a lifetime in the making
And a vision it is, with bright colours, weird and wonderful alien races and spectacular scenery that would have been impossible to bring to life before now.
Genuinely excited to see this movie come to life.
